About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Front-End Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of web development technologies with a focus on React. The role involves developing high-quality, scalable, and innovative front-end applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize applications that deliver exceptional user experiences.
What you'll be doing
- Join the front-end development team in designing, developing, and implementing web applications using React/NextJS.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and translate them into high-quality code.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability, focusing on rendering performance and optimization in React applications.
- Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to best practices in front-end development.
- Collaborate with back-end developers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and delivery of features.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging front-end technologies and trends, adopting best practices to continually improve the team's productivity and code quality.
What you'll need
Technical Skills:
- React: At least 5 years of hands-on experience developing applications using React.
- State Management: Proficient in Redux Toolkit and RTK Query for state management. Knowledge of Redux or NGRX is also valuable.
- Performance Optimization: Excellent understanding of the rendering process in React applications and experience in performance optimization techniques.
- Other Frameworks: Experience with Angular, Vue.js, or other front-end frameworks is valuable.
- Web Technologies: Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), and responsive design principles.
- Familiarity with development tools such as Git.
- Testing: Experience with testing frameworks such as Cypress and Jest.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
Compensation range
- Portugal: €45,000 - €70,000 gross annually*
- Other locations: Compensation will be discussed during the interview process
